Life Skills training

Life Skills training Caption

An education should prepare the children to be independent in their lives. Life skills curriculum is in place to train the children on personal, inter-personal, practical and social skills which makes an individual an effective member in the society. One major component of life skills is to improve the awareness about institutions like Primary Health Center, Bank, etc and how to utilize their services through field visits and interaction with respective officials. Life skills curriculum was developed by Ms Lakshmi.P from Azim Premji University as a part of her internship segment.

About Us

RISE School was set up in a remote village where the requirement for a quality school was very high. A detailed survey was carried out in early 2000 and Samiyandipudhur village in Pollachi taluk, Coimbatore district, Tamil Nadu was identified as an ideal location to start a school for rural children as there was a need for a school which provide equal educational opportunities as their urban peers at affordable cost.
