Quality schools are prohibitively expensive for children from poor families, especially in rural area. RISE School in Samiyandipudhur village (13 km from Pollachi town) is a not-for-profit school run by RISE India Trust to provide Quality all round education to rural children at affordable cost. RISE School is registered with the Government of Tamil Nadu. RISE School combines the CBSE curriculum and traditional education with the Montessori system of learning to offer a unique education.
We aspire to provide all round education to rural children which is experiential, fun, activity based and relevant to their lives.
RISE School was set up in a remote village where the requirement for a quality school was very high. A detailed survey was carried out in early 2000 and Samiyandipudhur village in Pollachi taluk, Coimbatore district, Tamil Nadu was identified as an ideal location to start a school for rural children as there was a need for a school which provide equal educational opportunities as their urban peers at affordable cost.
