RISE School’s Mentor program attracts volunteer teachers from around the world to train the teachers and students. RISE School plans assign mentors to students, who will live on campus, and will inspire the students. Additionally, it is planned to establish a student/teacher exchange program, which will introduce the students to different global cultures. The volunteer program helps us find teachers with lots of teaching and other talents, who are willing to work in remote rural areas to inspire, guide and teach our children.

RISE School was set up in a remote village where the requirement for a quality school was very high. A detailed survey was carried out in early 2000 and Samiyandipudhur village in Pollachi taluk, Coimbatore district, Tamil Nadu was identified as an ideal location to start a school for rural children as there was a need for a school which provide equal educational opportunities as their urban peers at affordable cost.
